the "late mutual funds" are chasing higher risk, left behind areas..such as REITs..IMO..there is not much to jump up and down about for REITs..malls, apartments, commercial spaces..storage...when things were "good"...a year a 2 ago..nice income stream...I dont see how most REITs will do well for "awhile"..they depend too much on consummer I am staying away...your comment that might go under 10 again I think probably correct...this market has gone essentially straight up...no real pull back..REITs dont make sense in this economy .having said that..the market never really has made sense ..what I have read is that those mutual funds late to rally have to buy something...so they have picked what has not done well..does that make sense...? mutual funds are "forced" to buy something..(their prospectus)...they have no choice...I am staying away from REITs...dont see the value of same..just my opinion...I used to own this..sold it...when it is back in single digits..will look at it again..not now...not in any 10+ or above range...seems only risk is to downside IMO..
