Time for VGENX to go green     15-Jan-09 07:49 pm
I bought VGENX in 2006. I had my finger on the mouse button to sell it all in July, but my gut told me to hang on.

Since then, oil has dropped to $34 a barrel and I've lost half of the fund's worth.

The time has come to break away from oil. This is an ENERGY fund and the global demand for energy remains staggeringly high. It is not going to go down. If we do not invest in renewable, sustainable sources of energy, we are missing the boat in the developing world.

Oil is not the future, just as newspapers and record companies are not the future. But energy? The world needs plenty of that. Adjust accordingly.
