Hey,
I agree with the previous. I've owned this since before 9/11 and bought high at first, and continued to add to my Roth IRA trough the trough. Sure, a loss of 9% YTD is poor. I'm still concerned over its performance too, but even a modest rise in the market will change everything for us all. My recommendation is to hold and add when you can. You're $$ is about as good here as anywhere you'll put it, and many are doing worse. With the market in a slump, you don't want to do anything crazy.
Good luck to all, and God Bless,
W in IL

I have has this fund for over 5 years....It is down just a bit....Look at the long term chart.
May not be a bad idea of buying a little here. Plus you don't get the big draw downs in the single stocks....Since this is not very active...e mail me when you post.

Yeah...I also bought this fund at $39 in 1999 or so. But, I've also bought it at $18 and all points in between. I dont know what my cost basis is. It's in my IRA. Seems like we're all in the same boat. I remmember wanting some exposure to technology when I bought it. I still think this is a decent fund.

I also bought it at $40 bucks a share. I thought I'd better hop on board as it was skyrocketing. Bummer. This is the only fund I have. However, its on its way back up and I think the future is looking bright.?

I'm ashamed to admit I invested part of my wife's 401k in this fund in May 2000, when it was $38. She never let's me forget it either.

I'm not too happy with the fact that VIGRX changed its "index" basis from S%P 500/Barra to MSCI Prime Market Growth Index in March 2003. In effect, they sold your shares at the bottom of the bear market (when VIGRX was about $24 as I recall) and then reinvested in a less aggressive fund that is simply not keeping pace with the old index during these last few good years.

Hey guys....my two cents...I've owned since 98' and I'm just starting to become right side up in it. I bought at $30.32 and put 3K in it every year thereafter...Overall satisfaction....so so!
