Why not go Direct?     20-Feb-09 02:35 pm
Steve Goldberg on Kiplinger.com "Time for TIPS" states that the ETF "TIP" will drop in price by about seven percent if interest rates on Treasuries rise by one percentage point. He continues on talking about the Vanguard fund and says that the fund will react the same to a rise in Treasury rates.
Since Treasuries are about as low as they can go, aren't we almost "guaranteed" a loss in the fund/ETF's value?
