Since most managers don't beat the averages over time, why crapshoot with your money?

Buy index ETFs - they're cheaper and produce better long-term returns.

Don't know PRISX but just bot PRGSX and PRWCX. Gensler is good on telecom and that's a big global theme. PRWCX is about as safe & steady as there is.

To me buying a mutual fund is the same as hiring someone to manage my money -- its mostly about the manager. This fund's manager is relatively new but he had excellent results at T. Rowe Price Media and Telecom for many years. I had Media and telecom but sold it and bought this fund because of the manager change. T Rowe is a good company but you should pay attention to manager changes. Europe and Med. also changed recently so I cut back.

In fact, I own all the other funds you mentioned. Crammer would say I have a mutual fund of mutual funds but I just look at it as spreading my trust amoung various manager in case one makes a mistake.

Reasons besides manager for this fund:

1) It is very small -- DODFX has excellent past result but has many new managers and is getting way too big. HIINX is also getting big.

2) The manager has more flexibility -- many of the stocks that prosper from Globalization are US based.

3) I like the stocks in this fund.

Well, What do you see now? I think most of your profits are gone on China trouble! In past you were able to tell which way the market will move in next few months! But in current global economy it is hard to say! We have terror problem too! So no matter what we think or reaserch, there hare so many uncertainities which can hit us real hard!!

12/30/06 last trading day, bought Dodge & Cox.(DODFX)
Needed a safe place to park my profits in my IRA.
Researched them all. D&C appears a real class act.
In 6 weeks so far up about 5.6%. Better than any
Bond CD or any safe instrument. Since in my case this is
not trading $ but Holy $.. potential lose was paramount.
Will ride DODFX until winds change.
