Sounds great. Consider taking a gander at Capital Southwest(CSWC), where BGMan, I and others have had rational and calm discussions over the past several years. BGMan is out of the stock (I am a l/time s/h) but its an interesting portfolio of companies that produce real products. The boys at LUK own a chunk.

Since you are invested in BAM, check out Marty Whitman's Third Ave Value (TAVFX) which is a major shareholder. Marty's s/h reports make for lively reading but the fund has been hammered over the past several years. Very bullish on BAM and Bruce Flatt's team. BGMan is skeptical due to the debt load (and other matters) but you likely know that from the Yahoo board.

Markel and Watsa are very tight - the relationship goes back many years and Watsa was sitting on the MKL compensation committee. But they are two quite differently run businesses.
