Any idea what is the philosophy behind this fund? I have not been able to fund any morningstar writeups on this fund but yet they are pretty highly ranked... wonder how they behave in a down market.

Its hard to find 4 or 5 star emerging market funds. All the good ones seem to be institutional funds with no access to retail buyers (EITEX, DFEVX). Any ideas?

Perhaps there is some advantage to holding a ETF that
is a mirror of what the fund is.

That is if you have large amount of cash coming in or redemption maybe its easier to buy(or sell) a chunk of the ETF and then balance the portfolio less frequently.

Certainly is a nice way to get the BRIC play with a little Korea and Isreel in the mix.

An unused message board is a waste of property.

QFFOX has had very good returns, and to my surprise, its returns have almost been identical to that of Fidelity's Emerging Market mutual fund (FEMKX).

One of QFFOX's current holdings seems redundant to me, but given that its philosophy is quantitatively based, maybe it's included to even out the volatility from its other holdings - iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index is the holding that seems redundant to me.
