Thank You Bob Brinker for the information you provide on your radio talk show on GNMA Funds. I have owned Payden for many years and provides good income for retirement.
But...
I wish you would spend more time in the grocery stores, as you will find Food, Utilities, and basic consumable items people purchase are UP in proce... I don't buy the governments numbers that we are not in an inflationary period right now.

Hello,

I have been investing in CD's for the past year, and I am considering breaking up my Ladder and put some money into this fund. Is now a good time to buy with the rumors of rate increase's.

Everything I have read on this fund, and listing to radio talk shows like Money Talk say this is a safe place to put my money.

WHAT are you talking about, gnma funds are 100% backed by
uncle sam as to the payment of PRINCIPLE AND INTERST.
unlike fannie mae, etc.
the price of this fund is higher now than when the mortgage
mess started this is a conservative fund, this fund is
similar to the Vanguard gnma fund only vanguard has a lower expense ratio, explain your positon or comments.
I hope i made you informed i have followed these GNMA funds for over ten years they only have fluctuated about $1.75 a share from the high to the low. These funds provide stable income if sold when interst have risen then you can loose some capitol 10% but if held until rates are fallen again
you may have a capitol gain, these funds are best to buy when rates are about to fall and if you want to sell,, sell when rates have fallen.

CNBC talks all day about how bad the housing market is and then they allow these guys to come on and say they are a very safe secure fund. Look at the holdings listed in yahoo, Personally I think it's false advertising at best. Mabye CNBC should let pets.com back on to advertise about how safe their stock is because they have a few clicks on their web site.
IF you want your money to be safe buy a treasury bill.
