the people on this board can make a case for?(not too many of OAKBX's caliber, is there?). I think it would be helpful/beneficial for those new to investing to find other funds that allow one to sleep well at night. Here's some of my favorites: For small cap funds I like T. Rowe's Small Cap Value(PRSVX), as well as Third Ave's Small Cap Value(TASCX). For Int funds I like Third Ave's fund (TAVIX), and though struggling of late I like Harbor Int (HAINX). I recall T Rowe's Capital Appreciation Fund has a good reputation, and for bond funds I like Bill Gross run HABDX and MBDFX, and also Columbia's Strategic Income Fund (LSIZX). Dodge and Cox funds have turned into real stinkers.....yet I've heard good things about FAIRX....any other suggestions anyone?
