These people in DC have absolutely no clue, and by the time they get one, it won't matter. I was just there, and the city looked "business as usual" complete with $400/night hotel room rates; the fact is that this may be true inside the beltway, but I can tell with you absolute certainty that in the rest of America, it is most certainly NOT, and when these major multinational companies start blowing up due to inability to fund continuing ops + embedded pension liabilities the crush of unemployment and cascading supplier failures will totally overwhelm all social support systems.

Washington DC is the only place this can be stopped but DC is entirely "tone deaf" as to what's coming at this nation and its people. They simply don't give a @#$% - that has been a winning strategy, along with the partisan crap that is everyday "talk radio" and television.

This "strategy" run by the Limbaughs and Pelosis of the world is all fine and well when we have an economy that can deal with that sort of crap. Right now that sort of garbage is not only inappropriate it is insanely destructive.
