Hard to call this one over the next 7 years.

True, the world is not likely to abandon all terrorism, aggression, and dangerous, unstable tyrants, so the demand for well-designed & updated military weaponry will not flag. However, under the present administration, US military budgets are being and will continue to be cut back in favor of domestic priorities. In addition, NASA, for all practical purposes, is being placed into moth balls. National priorities, as currently defined, reflect transfer of wealth strategies rather than the promotion of outward-directed goals. (I'm stating this reality as neutrally as possible.)

Within this new reality of horrendously accelerated national debt, higher taxes, inflation, recession, and falling dollar, how will defense companies fare relative to other sectors? That is the real question that should inform personal investment decisions in this sector. How will US defense contractors perform against emerging markets, energy, green technologies, health care, etc.?
