Man....we really are that stupid.
a percentage drop can never be greater than 100%..... you can't lose over 100% of your money unless you are short....or used borrowed money to buy the stock. (purchase price - selling price) divided by purchase price. anyway you look at it....you could do this an infinite amount of times and never hit 0...you can approach 0 assymptotically...but never actually get there...unless it goes under.
