looking at this as a defensive holding
while the general US and the global markets pinned to US consumers is sinking....

today - the asian markets took a beating, since the US economy is in trouble, the foreign companies may not have the US as a growing market for their exports.

looking for a defensive tactic - and the "staples" seem like a good move. comparing all my mutual funds watch list, this was down the least compared to asia, latin america, etc
