My favorite managers tend to be in the small to mid cap and international, and include Joel Tillinghast(not sure spelling) at Fidelity Low Price (sorry closed fund, buy FLPSX if it opens), Mark Yockey at Artisan International (ARTIX), Cliff Greenberg at Baron Small Cap (BSCFX), and Robert Rodriguez at FPA Capital (FPPTX) unfortunately a loaded fund. If you want to avoid the fund managers consider Dimensional Funds. Great emerging market, international, and small cap funds developed out of the University of Chicago by Nobel Prize winning economics professors. Unfortunately need a money manager to allow purchase, but that helps stabilize the funds. Very low internal charges, smart people running the company, price to book strategy.
