What a surprise. First, you invested in a fund a magazine recommended. Second, you invested after a fantastic year. If you had any idea what you were buying into, you would know that this could happen. Further, if you knew what you were doing you would also recognize why now is exactly not the time to sell out of this fund. In mid 2006 the fund had a tremendous selloff, investors sold the fund in masses only to see 2007 as one of the best years relative to the market on record. But hey, go ahead, complain about a fund you bought because a writer sold you the hot dot. Then sell it, make it a permanent loss and watch while over the next two years it becomes one of the better performers. And investors wonder why they never seem to do well in the markets. What a typical story. You should give yourself an "F" for you research and investing knowledge rather than bashing a fund you should have known more about before investing in it.
