The distribution is $3.96 per share all capital gains for the year. It will be paid to fund shareholders on record at the time distribution was made. So even if have owned it only a short time you will get the distribution. However the NAV per share has gone down by that amount. Also you will have to pay a capital gains tax on the distribution unless you hold it in an IRA account
