No doubt, I completely agree--Citi is horrific! You should see what they are doing down here in Costa Rica. They took over a bank called Custcatlan which offered incredible customer service in the form of short lines, bilingual phone and friendly reps. Now, you walk in the bank, there is one teller and one loan rep with 50 customers waiting. The customers are all extremely upset, complaining out loud while they wait for 2-3 hours and NO ONE cares--anyone actually working in the bank at during this time is completely indifferent. They seemed to also replace the educated bilingual reps with High School drop-outs who can't even speak English. We have complained a zillion times and when we finally went to withdraw our $60,000+, they could care less and didn't even try to correct the situation--just handed us our cashier's check and we were on our way. This same rep actually watched us take our check and walk across the street to another bank. Worst bank and organization I have ever dealt with in over 30 years---can't even believe they are still in business. One would have to start assuming they are cooking the books. To those of you who still have an account at Citi, your sanity is certainly in question. I'm still in shock---the world is ablaze, banks are looking for any extra dollar they can get and Citi lets us walk out with over 60k without saying a word or addressing our concerns...UNREAL, I'm still throwing up in my mouth.
