Although it seems pretty obvious, even to me, that the market is beyond what it "should be" and that it will likely go down in a significant way, how to profit it from that is a different story...

So that is why I'm trying to understand how shorting works, and see if it is something I would feel comfortable doing.

I tend not to just dive into things without understanding how they work. And I'm definitely NOT under the impression that I know enough to start getting involved in trading options!

I just wanted to try to better understand how it works and see if it sounds like something that would work for me.
