Thanks for the feedback. This message board has been "quiet" for a long time to say the least, so am happy to get a good response that makes sense! Your explanation is consistent with an upday for PIV today despite a really lousy market day in general.

Anyone else have any other thoughts about PIV's stock price they wish to share??

Oops. I described the other Powershares Value Line ETF. This one just invests in 50 of Value Lines top 100 ranked stocks based on safety and technical indicators. But, still, you're going to be overweighted in energy stocks, and underweighted in financials.

It has to do with how PIV allocates their money. As I understand it, they buy the highest ranked stock in each of Value Line's 50 highest ranked industries. Right now the highest ranked industries are energy related. And you don't get any exposure to the lowest ranked industries, like financials.

Anyone have an idea why PIV's stock price can greatly diverge from daily market moves. Today is a good example, PIV down on a strong up market day.

PIV should be a reasonable proxy for thr VL timeliness index, I would think. Hasn't that had a good record over time? The stats they show in their advertisine are impressive to me.

Compare to mid cap growth ETF (IJK) at a lower fee for one
year. Or MDY for general Mid Cap 400 S&P Index.

All those years of SEC ok'd Mountain Charts hide the fact that system is useless.

Recent performance better, but that can be luck.

Go elsewhere at lower fee.
