yeah i definatly see a head and shoulders, pretty scary but with 0% fed funds until april and then currently just a 68% chance of a rate hike then (which wont happen because the government cant afford to raise the rates on its debt) Any small dip in gold is a buy opportunity.

The only thing i see causing volatility in gold/dollar is a major geo-politcal event or possible massive short covering from a credit squeeze due to commercial real estate collapse which is pretty much inevitable and is actually already happening. Remember people are shorting the dollar to buy assets like gold, when liquidity and credit seize up from another crisis like commercial real estate or emergency state government budget situations u could have a major short covering rally in the dollar, that is what im most scared of as a trader in gold right now.
