First of all, if GW Bush would have alerted us, it is likely that the people at the airlines might have been more alert in checking the passengers, etc. I heard that th terrorists had used their real names and those names were on a list of suspected terrorists. Also I had read that some people wondered about them when they were staying at a motel which was not near a tourist attraction, business, etc. They wondered why these guys from the Middle East were there but they didn't call the authorities. They would have had there been an alert.
Yes GW Bush did issue alerts after the attack on 9/11 but he should have done so before 9/11. Clinton did alert us when he had information of a possible attack. We do know of at least two attacks that were thwarted. One was a planned attack on the Holland Tunnel and the other one was a planned attack on a bridge in California.
There is no indication that the bow upset the Japanese in any way, shape, or form.
The concern by China over our debt is another issue. I am concerned about that too. I don't like the idea of our having to depend on China to lend us money.If they get angry at us, they can refuse to buy our bonds and then the interest rates could skyrocket. I also don't like the idea of our having to send them the interest money that won't be spent in our country. This is a legitimate issue. The bowing thing is not.
